"Birds on Broadway"
A subsidiary of Nature Preservation Council

What part would you like to play? No, it's not a bawdy Broadway play but a planned wild bird sanctuary and rehabilitation center. Why the name...? It's located on a ten acre tract near Ninth and Broadway in Egg Harbor Township, Atlantic County, New Jersey. You can still play a part...

Conveniently located within two miles of the intersection of the Garden State Parkway and the Atlantic City Expressway, the center will serve residents of Atlantic and Cape May Counties, as well as thousands of visitors who come to southern New Jersey every year.

We are very excited about our newest project. To date, the land has been acquired and we are embarking the design of the project. Many other steps will need to be accomplished, including zoning approvals, licensing, staffing, and erection of a barn and flight cages. We also have to install utilities, parking, etc. How soon we open depends a lot on the funding we receive.

How can you help? We need people with rehabilitation experience who either have, or would work towards, becoming licensed by the state. We also need volunteers to become directly involved in this project at all levels.
